Scott Cheffer

Mr. Cheffer,

Mr. Cheffer, Ombudsman of Able Title Insurance Agency, Inc., is a lifelong Midwesterner. He holds a Master’s Degree in Instructional Design and Training Technologies. His experience and expertise in systems analysis, communication design, and technological enhancement brings a cutting-edge perspective to Title Company of America, giving it the necessary tools to compete with, and succeed against, any of its competition. With several years of prior retail management experience, Mr. Cheffer oversees and directs the title company’s sales and marketing efforts.

Mr. Cheffer organizes, maintains, and updates the title company’s Employee Manual as well as its business and marketing plans. Recognizing that educated clients are as important as educated employees, Scott designs and conducts well-received training seminars for both. These include workshops with modules that explain and analyze the critical aspects of residential title insurance and real property ownership. Scott also is an instructor for the Illinois Association of Mortgage Brokers’ Title One course.

As an active member in his church and its former Choirmaster, Mr. Cheffer currently chairs the Board of Directors for Outdoor and Retreat Ministries, managing two retreat properties totaling 200 acres and which offer programs to over 400 congregations in Northern Illinois. Mr. Cheffer also serves on the Board of Directors of the James Jordan Boys and Girls Club in Chicago, Illinois.

Kristin Miller is a Business Development Consultant for Able Title Insurance Agency, Inc. and has 20 years business experience in a various markets with an assortment of organizational structures including Fortune 500 companies, Foreign-owned manufacturing firm, a family-owned business that went public and an entrepreneur venture. She has been consultant for variety of companies in varied industries. She has an unusual personal philosophy about business - all companies are in the service industry regardless of their product and all agents must be customer-focused personnel. She maintains that her philosophy produces consistent results and creates strong customer loyalty.

Kristin earned a Master Business Administration from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Science degree with a marketing major from Indiana University. Kristin’s education and experience in business and marketing will be an asset not only to Title Company of America but also to its customers. She will be assisting the company in the development of marketing workshops and seminars.

Kristin is very active in the food allergy arena. She educated herself on the subject following her child’s diagnosis of life-threatening food allergies and then became an educator of and advocate for those suffering from this disease. She chaired the committee for both the initial and second Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network walk in Illinois. In addition, Kristin is co-coordinator of a support group and assists several not-for-profits with marketing collateral. Ms. Miller is founder and president of her own company that provides nut-free treats for people with nut allergies and organized a trade show for companies that target the food allergy market.
